Valencia will have a chemical industrial park
This is one of the six actions contained in the Plan of competitiveness of the chemical sector 2005-2007, which recently presented the regional Department of enterprise, University and science. This measure provides for the establishment of an industrial park, approximately 500,000 square meters, with all allocations and specific infrastructures for the implementation of companies of this sector and the related in the province of Valencia.

The first of these - development and business cooperation - whose main objective the strengthening of associations within the chemical sector through the promotion of activities and projects. A total of 120,000 euros is allocated to this initiative.
In the field of innovation and strengthening the system of r & d reflected the Exchange and transfer of r & d, promoting the culture of the technology among SMEs and the revision of the bat in the chemical sector. This action involves an investment of 435,000 euros.
The area of training and Enterprise Human Capital provides for the establishment of the school of international trade, the implementation of management systems advanced SMEs and microPYME and training through graduate programs and technological masters of scientific-technological specialization. This action provides for an investment of 1.062.000 euros.

Finally, the dissemination of relevant information in the field of environment and the implementation of the EMAS environmental management system will work in the area of environment. It envisages an investment of 525.000 euro.

The chemical sector in the Valencian Community includes - as a large part – to companies involved in the manufacture of products related to organic chemistry, activities included in the Division of the CNAE 24. Although companies in various sub-sectors are represented in the sector, there is a specialization in products of cosmetics, perfumery, pharmaceutical, plant protection, etc.
