Matgas Directs the European project H2Trust, that will give to know the profits of the sustainable use and sure of the hydrogen

Air Products and Matgas, centre of R&D of Metallic Carbides, beside seven European partners between which include associations, companies, universities and technology and research centres, have created a consortium to set up the project H₂Trust. The aim of this important project, led by Matgas, centre of reference in investigation, is to boost a good management of the commercialisation on a large scale in Europe of the batteries of fuel of hydrogen as well as of the distinct applications of this gas. Besides, the consortium also will do upsetting in the importance of the hygiene.

One of the main aims of the consortium is to evaluate the efforts of the industry to guarantee that the technology based in the use of the hydrogen is safe, as well as make a regulation headed to concienciar to the public opinion on the risks and offer the necessary learning to face up to possible incidents. The consortium will gather regularly to ensure that they fulfil these aims, in addition to realizar evaluations of risk centred in each one of the main areas of application (production of hydrogen, storage and distribution, mobility and vehicles, and generation of power for residential use). The results will help to create a culture of prevention in hygiene in the industry on a long-term basis, as well as tools and knowledges that reinforce the confidence of the public and the correct use of these technologies.
