Clariant Has been awarded with the prize to the creation of occupation in the 13ª edition of the 'Nit Business'

Clariant, the Swiss company of chemical specialitys, has received the prize by the investment in new installations and the creation of occupation during the 13ª edition of the 'Nit Business 2013'. You award them, awarded annually by the business confederation of the province of Tarragona (CEPTA), have the aim to recognise the work of the companies of the region.
The mayor of Reus, Carles Pellicer, and the president of the CEPTA, Josep Antoni Belmonte, have been the attendants to chair the ceremony of delivery of prizes. The main axis of this 13ª edition centred in the cooperation between the companies for aunar efforts in front of the current economic crisis, improve the competitiveness and assume the challenges of future.
By means of the granting of this prize, the organisation has wanted to recognise the work of Clariant in matter of creation of employment. In the 2012, Clariant Iberian created 92 places of work, 60 of them in his centre of The Prat of Llobregat and 32 in the factory of Tarragona, where recently inaugurated a new plant of production of polymers AMPS. The factory tarraconense has turned into the only centre of the group Clariant in producing this type of special polymers for the cosmetic sector and additives for the cimentación of pozos oil. For the creation of this new plant of production, devoted an investment of 16 million euros in the last two years.
Miguel Muñoz, manager of the centre of production of Clariant Tarragona, went the attendant to collect the prize and commented that: “we are very proud to receive this galardón, since it supposes a recognition to our work in matter of creation of employment as well as to the bet that the group always has kept by the region. Proof of this is the recent inauguration of the new plant of polymers in our installations of Tarragona, that allows us face the much better ready future and positioned in the market”. Besides, it appreciated the work of the young and highly qualified human team of Clariant Tarragona.
