Feique and Fiteqa-CC OO reach a pre-agreement on the negotiation of the new Convention for the chemical industry

The past 29 of September, and after an intensive process of negotiation that began on December 10, 2010, reached a pre-agreement between the Spanish chemical industry business Federation (Feique) and the Federation of chemical of Comisiones Obreras (Fiteqa-CC OO) on the content of the 16th Convention General of chemical industry (CGIQ). This agreement, which is "an exceptional situation in the history of the CGIQ", according to Feique said in a statement, has not been signed by the Trade Union Fitag-UGT, so the new collective agreement will be limited or contractual performance. The above implies that its scope is limited to those directly represented by subjects involved in the negotiation, these is, in the case of workers, the CC OO Union members, as well as those who voluntarily to join him.
The Convention, which will be valid for two years (2011 and 2012), provides for wage increases of 1.5% for 2011 and 2012 on the gross wage mass of companies; a pay review to real CPI for each year of validity with retroactive effect from the month of the year that the monthly cumulative CPI exceeds the number of initial increase; an extension of the maximum duration of the contract of work and service of 2 to 3 years; the establishment of a bag of 100 flexible hours for situations of decline in activity, allowing to apply rest first and then the recovery of that time, and an increase in the remuneration of the contracts for the training and learning and undertakings appoint a guardian, among other measures.
