London opens its first permanent hydrogen station

The Deputy Mayor of London, Kit Malthouse, has been in charge of inaugurating the first permanent hidrogenera in the history of London. Air Products, parent company of Metal carbides, has designed and installed the service station to London transport will be used to supply five buses powered by hydrogen fuel. These vehicles will operate between Covent Garden and Tower Hill, one of Europe's largest fleet of hydrogen.
"The opening of a hidrogenera in our capital represents a major step forward in the development of transport infrastructure low in carbon dioxide emissions and that uses hydrogen as main fuel," said Ian Williamson, European director of Hydrogen Energy Systems of Air Products and President of the European Hydrogen Association.
