It's a proposal for the production which aims to significantly strengthen the global leadership of the European chemical industry with production methods "more rapid and flexible", which would lead to a paradigm shift in the industry that could accumulate savings of up to 40,000 million euros.
During the Conference, to be held in Barcelona, will be presented this project based on the application of technologies such as industrial biotechnology, the intensification of processes and the use of micro-reactores to achieve more sustainable, flexible and cost-effective processes. The actions covered by the sector to increase sustainability and achieve a significant reduction in the costs include integrated processes and supply chain design, either in relation to the products themselves or the location of plants.
