The III Forum SusChem–Sustainable Chemicals will form part of the Green Week 2014 of the European Commission

The international meeting organised by the
Organised by the Technological Platform Spaniard of Sustainable Chemicals, the days have the institutional sponsorship of the Business Federation of the Spanish Chemical Industry (Feique) and of Expoquimia -International Living room of the Chemicals of Fira of Barcelona-, in addition to SusChem Europe and of the companies Dow Chemical Iberian, Fertiberia and the collaboration of the European Council of the Chemical Industry (Cefic), Technological Centre of the Sustainable Chemicals (CTQ-URV), Institut Català d'Investigació Chemical (Iciq), plastics Europe, Bayer Material Science, Emerson Process Management, Repsol, Rtdi and Solutex.
The area of Tarragona is headquarters of the clúster industrial, logistical, academician and scientist of the chemicals ChemMed Tarragona, that includes the greater petrochemical pole of Spain. In the afternoon of 27 May, the inscribed in the 3SCICC Sustainable Chemical Forum will be able to join to the speakers of the 3SCICC Forum in a tour by the clúster: the refinery of Tarragona and the petrochemical polygons.
The existent resources are limited. Be able to obtain greater value with a lower environingingmental impact and taking advantage of better the available resources, is the base of the circular economy. But the change of the current economic model to one circulate, is not simple. The reuse, the energetic efficiency and of resources are some of the key appearances of this model and the innovation in Sustainable Chemicals provides solutions that will allow to attain this change. These changes besides, have impact in other industrial states, allowing like this give answer to the big social challenges to which confronts the society.
Chemical companies of reference like DOW, Bayer, Akzo Nobel, DSM or Repsol; companies of valorisation of by-products like Sita SPÉ Iberian; providers of technology, engineers and consultancies like Emerson Process Management, Tractebel Engineering, Echo Intelligent Growth or DVA Power; as well as leading associations like Fipae and plastics Europe; or the universities and centres of investigation and technology transfer like CTQ, Iciq, Tecnalia and YOUR Delft among others, will give appointment in the Forum.
