Feique And IESE organise a day for the attraction of investments to the sector
4 October 2013
The next 10 October will take place in the headquarters of the IESE in Barcelona the day
The Spanish chemical industry, with a figure of businesses of 56.000 million euros, generates at present 11,5% of the Gross Industrial Product and more than 500.000 direct employments and indirect. It is likewise the second exporting sector of the Spanish economy, having registered in 2012 some upper sales to 28.000 million euros in international markets, to which already allocate more than 50% of the production.
Although the chemical sector surpasses already the figure of businesses registered prior to the start of the economic crisis, thank you fundamentally to his high degree of penetration in external markets, no less true is that, further of the short term, is necessary revertir the gradual loss of industrial fabric in Spain and Europe.
As it collects the Report “Horizon 2030 of the Spanish chemical industry”, a strategic document elaborated by Feique, estimates that the chemical sector, to scale world-wide, experience a productive growth of 4,5% annual until 2030. However, and in spite of the good global perspectives, is necessary to improve the conditions of competitiveness of our country to be able to absorb the global growth that foresees for the sector and attract productive investments that induce the generation of wealth and employment.
