The EU will finance the Spanish research project on biogas Gerónimo II

Brussels hopes to conclude the negotiations in March to determine the funding available for each of the 44 projects and hopes that the first start to put in place the same month, said the EU Executive said in a statement. Brussels has selected these 44 projects of a total of 349 submitted until last June, when the deadline for applications was completed.
The community program was designed to facilitate projects that contribute to the penetration of renewable energy in Europe, as well as the implementation of the triple European objective of improving energy efficiency by 20 percent, reduce by 20% the emissions of CO2 in the States members compared to 1990 levels and increase up the 20% energy consumption from renewables by 2020.
