EIMA Bologna awarded to Fendt 828 Vario as 'Tractor of the year 2011'

It was the 14th edition of the 'Tractor of the year' award, in the framework of the fair Eima in Bologna. The jury was composed of 20 specialized freelancers of agricultural journals published in 20 European countries. The contest enjoys a recognized independence and is characterized by its ratings not biased when it comes to qualify teams or others. Thus, in this scenario was to know the new Fendt 828 Vario as a novel compact tractor of high power with multiple technological solutions. Gary Collar, Vice President of Agco and Manager for the regions EAME/ANZ with Johann Planatscher, managing director of the Italian Fendt received the award in Bologna on behalf of AGCO/Fendt. First tractor with SCR technology which reduces fuel consumption
The 828 Vario is the first tractor produced in series in the world that incorporates the SCR technology for fuel economy, at the same time fulfilling the stage IIIb emissions (TIER IV interim), which shall enter into force on 1 January next year. With a speed of 60 km/h and the new X 5 cab, tractor is considered to be faster and more comfortable in her class. In addition, the 828 Vario is equipped with a new concept in control systems equipped with a large display screen, the novel system of automatic address Vario-Guide and the application of processing of data 'Vario-doc'.
