Presentación
The company was created with the idea of getting to deflect the rays toward Earth without danger to buildings. This was the challenge that Hans Dehn was raised for his company, founded in 1910 in Nürnberg. Since the beginning of the twenties of the last century are on the market components and protective equipment against lightning discharges and Earth. From these first component has been developed gradually over the years, with a very extensive product program for external lightning protection.
But not only the protection of facilities and buildings against the effects of lightning discharge was the main issue, but also the protection of persons who install, maintain and repair facilities and electrical equipment.
From 1952 the product range of the House DEHN + SÖHNE was expanded with new equipment of protection and safety for work carried out on electrical installations.
The increase in the presence of electrical and electronic equipment in the industry, the Administration and in the domestic sector has shown that conventional lightning protection was not enough to guarantee the safety and protection of the aforementioned devices. Thus, after decades of experience in the sector of the external lightning protection, it was imposed the need for surge protection.
Consequently, the year 1954 appeared on the market the first generation of automatic protection against overvoltages of the DEHN House + SÖHNE.
Neumarkt, the new site of the company, brings together development, manufacturing, distribution and management of the sectors of product protection against lightning, surge protection and protection at work.
The company has more than 1000 employees, a management oriented progress, with laboratories, manufacturing chains controlled by computer and a wide range of security products.
