Measurement of distance and detection in a factory of glass

The plates of glass transport vertically and later process in horizontal position. The glass drives then until the area of storage on a lane of 50 metres of length.
Sick Could supply sensors of distance DME4000, that work in reflecting way, for the plates 7610 K. For this chose an interface RS-422 because of the particular characteristics of the machine. The do of the sensor of distance allows to adjust quickly the laser. The DME4000 can configure the values of the parameters for all the positions of the procedure of collected of glass in the area of storage and allows to the operario monitor continuously the position of the conveyors, knowing like this where find at all times.
Tecnocat Installed, besides, sensors of vicinity WT250-P460, using them for the detection of glass. Because of the characteristics of the machine the glass has to be detected by means of direct reflection. The supresión background of the sensor can employ to detect distinct types of glass.
The collaboration between Tecnocat 21 and SICK produced excellent results. The sensors can adapt to all the requirements. They install quickly and they provide data extremely precise. Of this form saves time during the transport, processing and storage of the plates of glass.
