Para que el mundo pueda alcanzar el objetivo de 2 ºC establecido en el Acuerdo de París sobre el clima, el sector de la movilidad deberá estar a la altura del reto y lograr una reducción significativa de sus emisiones de CO2. El Grupo Schaeffler está haciendo precisamente eso: estar a la altura del reto. Bajo el lema “Hacer que la movilidad sea sostenible y autónoma”, el salón del automóvil IAA 2019 de Frankfurt ha sido el escenario elegido para presentar su visión de la movilidad sostenible basada en la innovación. En el salón IAA Schaeffler ha presentado su perspectiva integrada de toda la cadena energética del sector de la movilidad y perfilado sus innovadoras soluciones de sistemas. Entre los aspectos más destacados se encuentra la primera presentación pública de la gama de motores eléctricos Schaeffler, que se han desarrollado en diversas clases de potencia y que ya se están produciendo en serie. Otros puntos a destacar son los sistemas de transmisión híbridos dedicados, el Intelligent Corner Module, con un ángulo de giro de 90º, la tecnología drive-by-wire (clave para la conducción autónoma) y el Schaeffler Mover, todo un nuevo concepto urbano de movilidad. Perspectiva holística de toda la cadena energética Como proveedor presente en los sectores industrial y de automoción, Schaeffler valora la cadena energética como un todo, ofreciendo soluciones de sistemas y productos para la generación de energía renovable. Schaeffler used the IAA to present its integrated perspective on the entire mobility sector energy chain and to profile its innovative system solutions. Among the highlights was the first-ever public showing of the Schaeffler electric motors, which have been developed in a range of output classes and are now going into mass production. Other highlights included dedicated hybrid transmission systems, the Schaeffler Intelligent Corner Module with its 90º steering angle, drive-by-wire as a key enabling technology for selfdriving cars and the Schaeffler Mover as a new urban mobility concept. Holistic perspective of the entire energy chain As an integrated automotive and industrial supplier, Schaeffler views the energy chain as a whole, offering system and product solutions for renewable energy generation. As a result, the company applies the maxim that to be sustainable, the entire energy chain must be taken into account. Simply shifting emissions from one point in the chain to another has no impact on the overall CO2 balance, noting the need for electricity storage technologies to even out the fluctuating availability of renewable energy sources and the growing importance of alternatives like hydrogen. In its initial advance development work on fuel cell components, Schaeffler is leveraging its traditional core expertise in materials technology, material forming and surface technology. The company’s main strength here is that it is strongly diversified in the industrial and automotive sectors and is thus involved at every point in the energy chain, from the generation of energy through to its use in vehicles. Schaeffler Mover was also presented as an innovative mobility concept for urban spaces.
