Pero todos esos cambios vienen acompañados de una cantidad de información, más de una vez abrumadora, y hoy más que nunca nuestro rol en este camino hacia la transición energética es el de ayudar a comprender y hacer un buen uso de ese bombardeo de información que nos llega día tras día. Mercados dinámicos, precios energéticos fluctuantes, tecnologías que evolucionan a una velocidad asombrosa y un punto crucial que vale la pena tener presente en el momento de tomar una decisión importante de migración: la financiación y las ayudas. A día de hoy seguramente más de uno ha escuchado sobre el plan MOVES III, pero... ¿Qué es el plan MOVES? El plan MOVES es un paquete de ayudas del Gobierno español destinado a incentivar la compra de coches eléctricos, híbridos, híbridos enchufables y vehículos a GLP (gas licuado del petróleo) o GNC (gas natural comprimido) y favorecer la descarbonización de uno de los sectores con mayores niveles de contaminación que existen. En ediciones anteriores se partía de un presupuesto de 100 M€ (Plan MOVES II), que ha tenido que ser incrementado hasta los 400M€ con el Plan MOVES III, tras su rotundo éxito en estos pasos tan importantes que se están dando a favor de una movilidad más sostenible. Estas ayudas directas para lamovilidad eléctrica y para la infraestructura de carga son un precursor fundamental en este proceso. Este plan será ampliable a 800 M€ si la demanda lo requiere y tendrá una continuidad hasta finales del año 2023, fecha en la cual se espera que circulen al menos 250.000 vehículos eléctricos y haya como mínimo 100.000 puntos de recarga, tanto públicos como privados. Líneas de financiación del Plan MOVES El Plan MOVES no solo está orientado a incentivar la compra de coches 100% eléctricos, sino que también contempla otras cuatro líneas de financiación: There is no longer any doubt that we are living through a period full of change, which will shape the future of the mobility sector and energy efficiency for ever. Dynamic markets, fluctuating energy prices, technologies that evolve at a startling speed and a critical point that must be taken into consideration when making a step change: financing and subsidies. Most people have heard of the MOVES III Plan, but... What is the MOVES Plan? The MOVES Plan is a package of Spanish Government subsidies designed to incentivise the purchase of electric cars, hybrids, plug-in hybrids and LPG (liquid petroleum gas) or CNG (compressed natural gas) vehicles and foster the decarbonisation of one of the sectors with the highest levels of pollution today. Past versions were based on a budget of €100m (MOVES II Plan), which had to be increased to €400m with the MOVES III Plan, following its resounding success in these so important steps that are being taken to support a more sustainable mobility. These direct subsidies for e-mobility and for the charging infrastructure are a vital precursor in this process. This plan can be boosted to €800m if demand requires it and will continue until the end of 2023, the date by which at least 250,000 EVs are expected to be on the roads, along with a minimum of 100,000 public and private charging points. Lines of financing under the MOVES Plan The MOVES Plan is not only designed to incentivise the purchase of 100% electric cars, but also offers four lines of financing: • The purchase of alternative energy vehicles. • Installation of electric car charging points. • E-bicycle rental systems. • Implementation of sustainable mobility measures in the workplace in a post-COVID context. In addition to private cars, this includes vans, buses, minibuses, trucks, mopeds and quad bikes. Who is eligible for a MOVES Plan subsidy? Private individuals, companies, public and private institutions. Private individuals are eligible for one subsidy, while companies can apply for a maximum of 30. Individuals that apply for these subsidies cannot be previous recipients of other sources of funding for efficient vehicles. Allocation of the subsidy is not immediate but takes 6 months from submission of the application.
