El incremento en el número de proyectos se traslada a su volumen de facturación, pasando de 38 M€ en 2018 a una previsión de 45 M€ para este año. Además, EDF tiene hasta el momento 217 obras más en contratación, que suman una potencia de 18 MW. El autoconsumo energético para industrias es la principal línea de negocio de EDF, representando un 95% de su volumen de actividad. Con el autoconsumo se rompe el esquema tradicional y se otorga al consumidor el poder de generar su propia energía, ofreciendo una mayor autonomía y permitiendo un ahorro significativo de costes, que en el caso del autoconsumo industrial puede llegar al 60% de su factura. A pesar de los avances en el sector, EDF considera que debe existir una mayor implicación por parte de las administraciones públicas en el desarrollo fotovoltaico. El nivel de aprovechamiento solar en España es infinitamente inferior a países europeos que cuentan con menor radiación solar, como Alemania o Inglaterra, además que la tasa de crecimiento de renovables en España es disruptiva en comparación con otros países debido a las trabas administrativas y políticas. Sin embargo, la compañía considera que la situación y las previsiones que se manejan podrían no ser del todo objetivas, puesto que la implantación del vehículo eléctrico y la repercusión del internet de las cosas podría ser mayor de lo que se prevé. Esto haría que las proyecciones que se manejan para el sector fotovoltaico podrían, incluso, ser conservadoras. The increase in the number of projects is reflected in the company’s turnover, which has gone from €38m in 2018 to a forecast €45m this year. EDF currently has a further 217 contracts in the pipeline, amounting to 18 MW. Energy self-consumption for industries is EDF’s main business line, accounting for 95% of its turnover. Self-consumption breaks the traditional mould and gives the consumer the power to generate their own energy, offering greater autonomy and enabling a considerable costs saving which, in the case of industrial self-consumption, can amount to 60% of the energy bill. Despite the advances made in the sector, EDF believes that there must be a greater level of involvement by the public administrations to develop PV. The level of PV use in Spain is infinitely lower than other European countries that have less solar radiation, such as Germany and the UK, in addition to which the growth rate of renewables in Spain is disruptive compared to other countries due to administrative and political impediments. However, the company believes that both the situation and the forecasts are not entirely objective, given that the deployment of the electric vehicle and the repercussion of the Internet of Things could be greater than predicted. This would make projections for the PV sector even appear conservative. The company is currently implementing different types of project: pure self-consumption for grid-connected installations, both with and without the sale of surplus energy; and projects for off-grid installations using batteries for energy storage. For these projects, EDF offers integrated engineering services that range from the initial feasibility study to the development of the engineering project, construction, installation, promotion, operation and maintenance of energy efficiency projects.With a track record of 11 years and more than 1,100 projects executed, the company has established itself as a reference in PV self-consumption.
