El acuerdo permitirá a Veolia continuar con su servicio de optimización del rendimiento de los edificios, la renovación progresiva de las instalaciones y la incorporación de nuevas tecnologías. Con este contrato, se garantiza un ahorro en los costes energéticos del 9%, así como la agilización y reducción de las tareas administrativas asociadas a la gestión energética y al mantenimiento de las instalaciones. Además, el suministro de calor se abonará a precio fijo, lo que permitirá al Ayuntamiento planificar mensualmente los gastos operacionales. Por otro lado, se evitará la emisión de 330 t anuales de CO2. En octubre, Giroa Veolia firmó un contrato con Igurco para el mantenimiento y la gestión de la eficiencia energética de sus residencias y centros de día. El acuerdo, de seis años de duración, comprende la gestión energética, el suministro de gas y electricidad, la conducción energética y la realización de informes de consumo. Todos los edificios se conectarán al Hubgrade, el centro de gestión telemático de Veolia, situado en el Parque Tecnológico de Bizkaia. Esta novedosa solución de gestión energética permite al equipo de Giroa Veolia operar en las instalaciones de forma remota y a tiempo real, optimizándolas día a día a la vez que se preservan las condiciones de confort.
