Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab es un proyecto de colaboración público-privada única, fruto de la voluntad común de los socios de invertir en la movilidad de mañana, poniendo en común su saber hacer y las capacidades específicas de cada uno, al servicio de un territorio precursor en soluciones de transporte innovadoras y sostenibles. Un proyecto pionero Este proyecto pionero es único por su enfoque global. Se trata de hecho de construir un sistema completo de transporte autónomo. Con el fin de ofrecer un servicio por carreteras públicas con una velocidad comercial equivalente a la de los vehículos clásicos y a la vez garantizar la seguridad de los pasajeros, el proyecto prueba tecnologías innovadoras que forman un sistema global de transporte. El alcance del sistema incluye la aplicación cliente que permite reservar un trayecto, el puesto de control de la flota, la infraestructura conectada, las redes de telecomunicaciones seguras, los vehículos autónomos y sus equipamientos. El operador, situado en el puesto de control, vigila la flota y puede intervenir cuando sea necesario solicitando la limitación de la velocidad de los vehículos o que se detengan. También serán posibles las comunicaciones de audio y vídeo entre los pasajeros y el puesto de control en todo momento. Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab está totalmente integrado en la oferta tradicional de transporte administrada por la metrópoli de Rouen. La fuerte presencia de esta última en el proyecto y el apoyo de la Región de Normandía, demuestran la voluntad de los actores públicos de integrar estos nuevos servicios y acelerar la transformación de las ciudades hacia unas ciudades inteligentes eficaces, en beneficio de los habitantes. La aceptación por parte de la sociedad del servicio de movilidad autónoma, compartida y bajo demanda, así como la implicación del público en general constituyen de hecho unos de los mayores pilares del proyecto. Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab is a unique public-private collaboration project, the result of the shared willingness by its partners to invest in tomorrow’s mobility, offering their know-how and the specific capabilities of each party to provide a service to a region as a precursor to innovative and sustainable transport solutions. A pioneering project This pioneering project is unique due to its global approach. It involves constructing a completely autonomous transport system.With the aim of offering a service on public roads at a commercial speed equivalent to that of conventional vehicles while guaranteeing passenger safety, the project is testing innovative technologies that will form part of a global transport system. The scope of the system includes the app through which customers can reserve their journey; the fleet’s control centre; the connected infrastructure; secure networks; the autonomous vehicles and their equipment. The operator, located at the control centre, oversees the fleet and takes action as necessary to limit the speed of the vehicles or bring them to a stop. There will always be audio and video communications between passengers and the control centre. Rouen Normandy Autonomous Lab is fully integrated into the traditional public transport services administered by the Rouen metropolis. The strong presence of this entity in the project and the support of the Region of Normandy demonstrate the willingness of public agents to integrate these new services and to accelerate the transformation of cities into efficient Smart Cities to the benefit of their inhabitants. The acceptance on the part of society of the autonomous, shared and on-demand mobility service, as well as the involvement of the general public constitute one of the most important pillars of this project.
