An exterior motorised vertical shade solution. The Hotel U232 in Barcelona is an example of the Somfy dynamic façade applied to a hotel. The hotel can be managed on a centralised basis or via individual controls in each bedroom, to improve the comfort of the guests. It is also equipped with a wind speed sensor so that when the speed exceeds 60 kph, the vertical shades are automatically rolled up to avoid breakage. The building has a ground floor and eight storeys with a southwest facing façade. Solar radiation starts at around 11-12:00 and continues to 19-20:00, with a very high level of insolation, above all fromMay to October.
