In order to increase the treatment capacity of the plant, TecnoConverting Engineering carried out all the clarification engineering involved in converting the 2 existing circular settling tanks and equipping them with TecnoTec H80 lamella modules. The result was an increase of 700 m3/h in the treatment capacity of the settling units. One of the problems encountered when converting the circular settling tanks into lamella clarifiers was the need for a bottom scraper that could operate beneath the lamella modules. 2 MANOWAR© scrapers, also from TecnoConverting Engineering, were installed to overcome this challenge. All MANOWAR scrapers are made of stainless steel, which ensures the absence of corrosion. These scrapers are designed to enable settling tanks to be fitted with lamella modules and even allows them to be covered, meaning that the hydrogen sulphide that typically builds up in covered settling tanks does not affect the scraper, thereby enabling odour control operations to be carried out. MANOWAR technology has been implemented since 2010 and boasts references in a number of countries, including Australia, Portugal, Russia, Spain… Para aumentar la capacidad de tratamiento de la planta, TecnoConverting Engineering realizó toda la ingeniería en decantación para poder adaptar los 2 decantadores circulares existentes con módulos lamelares TecnoTec H80, permitiendo de esta manera aumentar el caudal de tratamiento en los decantadores en 700 m3/h. Una de las problemáticas en el momento de adaptar los decantadores circulares a decantadores lamelares fue la necesidad de disponer de un rascador de fondos que pudiera funcionar por debajo de los módulos lamelares, por ese motivo, se instalaron 2 rascadores MANOWAR© también de TecnoConverting Engineering. Todos los rascadores MANOWAR están construidos en acero inoxidable, lo que asegura la ausencia de corrosión y están totalmente diseñados para que los decantadores puedan incorporar módulos lamelares e incluso puedan cubrirse, por lo que el ácido sulfhídrico típico que se acumula en los decantadores cubiertos no va a afectar al rascador, lo que permite realizar la desodorización.
