Chief amongst these initiatives are those aimed at improving the energy efficiency and overall efficiency of wastewater treatment and reclamation plants, promoting wastewater reuse, and fostering innovation and technology transfer in the water sector. The Spanish General State Budget (PGE) allocation to the Ministry for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge (MITECO) will increase to €10,195 million in 2022, the second highest allocation in history. In a year in which the goal is to consolidate fair economic and social recovery following the health crisis, €343 million of this will be earmarked for water treatment, sanitation, efficiency, water savings, reuse and infrastructure safety. As is widely known, FuturENVIRO has, since its inception, sought to be and wishes to continue being, at the forefront of the dissemination of current affairs and innovation in the water sector. We offer the sector special reports, all the current news and technical guides to provide information on breakthroughs in digitisation and innovation in the water sector. The FuturENVIRO editorial programme for 2022, which is now available, places special emphasis on wastewater management and treatment, desalination, reuse, water footprint, efficient irrigation, renewable energies, energy efficiency and equipment renewal. We particularly focus on projects and products aimed at achieving smarter, more efficient, safer and more environmentally friendly water management. Our editorial programme also includes wastewater treatment in small towns, network and non-revenue water management, trenchless technologies, the treatment of grey water and stormwater, as well as constructed stormwater wetlands. En los Presupuestos Generales del Estado (PGE) del Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico (MITECO), que se elevarán en el próximo 2022 hasta los 10.195 M€, destacar que se trata de la segunda mayor cantidad de su historia, en un ejercicio llamado a consolidar la recuperación económica y social justa tras la crisis sanitaria. De los cuales 343 M€ se destinarán a actuaciones de depuración, saneamiento, eficiencia, ahorro, reutilización y seguridad de infraestructuras.
