www.futurenviro.es FuturEnviro | Julio-Septiembre July-September 2020 5 Editorial Editorial La Agenda2030 y los ODS: La hoja de ruta para un mundo más sostenible e inclusivo Hoy día 25 de septiembre, al cierre editorial de este número de FuturENVIRO, justo se celebran 5 años del día en que los líderes mundiales se comprometieron con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) y su cumplimiento para el año 2030. Los 17 ODS persiguen la igualdad entre personas, la protección del planeta y asegurar la prosperidad y la paz universal. El sector privado está llamado a jugar un papel central en esta hoja de ruta, que constituye al mismo tiempo una responsabilidad y una oportunidad sin precedentes para alinear los objetivos de un negocio con los de la equidad y la sostenibilidad. Es por ello, que hemos querido aportar nuestro granito de arena e incluir en nuestro calendario editorial la difusión de las acciones y planes de acción de las empresas y organizaciones en la consecución de los ODS y la Agenda 2030. Además recientemente se ha aprobado el Plan Nacional de Adaptación al Cambio Climático (PNACC) 2021-2030, que se alinea con las nuevas políticas planteadas por el Consejo Europeo que vinculan la adaptación con las políticas de recuperación post COVID. Las políticas de adaptación ofrecen nuevas oportunidades reduciendo la incertidumbre asociada al cambio del clima. También generan efectos positivos adicionales en la conservación de la biodiversidad, la protección de la salud o la propia mitigación del cambio climático. En esta era post-Covid, no se alcanzará el éxito empresarial sin un entorno sostenible. Al mismo tiempo, el desarrollo a nivel local o internacional necesita de las empresas. Este binomio dibuja una nueva dimensión de la responsabilidad social empresarial que llama al cambio y a la reconstrucción económica bajo las premisas de la sostenibilidad y el respeto al medio ambiente. The 2030 Agenda and the SDGs: the roadmap for a more sustainable and more inclusive world As this issue of FuturENVIRO goes to press, today, September 25th, marks the fifth anniversary of the day on which world leaders made a commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set for 2030. The 17 SDGs seek equality amongst people, protection of the planet, prosperity and universal peace. The private sector has a central role to play in this roadmap, which constitutes both a responsibility and an unprecedented opportunity to align business goals with equality and sustainable development. At FuturENVIRO, we would like to make our small contribution through the inclusion in our editorial programme of news on the actions and plans of companies and organisations with respect to achieving the SDGs that make up the 2030 Agenda. The Spanish National Climate Change Adaptation Plan (PNACC) 2021-2030 has recently been ratified. In line with new European Council plans, the PNACC links adaptation to climate change with post-COVID 19 recovery. These adaptation policies offer new opportunities to reduce the uncertainty associated with climate change. They also generate further positive effects on the conservation of biodiversity, health protection and, of course, mitigation of climate change. Business success will not be achieved in the post-COVID era without a sustainable environment. At the same time, local and international development requires the activity of companies. This nexus adds a new dimension to Corporate Social Responsibility, and calls for change and economic reconstruction founded on the principles of sustainability and respect for the environment.
