La planta de biomasa de Curtis-Teixeiro, es uno de los proyectos de energía renovable más importantes de Europa, en el que Greenalia ha realizado una inversión de 135 M€. Una vez finalizada, se convertirá en la mayor planta de biomasa forestal de la Península Ibérica y del Sur de Europa, que utilice restos de poda y residuos de madera de eucalipto y la primera en innovación tecnológica. Además en este número contamos con otro Plant Report en el que describimos con detalle las mejoras en la planta de R.S.U. de Elche, una planta de pretratamiento con línea compartida para la fracción resto y de envases ligeros, con un sistema de compostaje con tratamiento de aire y una planta de afino con recuperación de vidrio. Cabe destacar, que esta importante actuación se ha llevado a cabo manteniendo el tratamiento de los residuos durante todo el proceso de obra. Do not miss our Plant Report on one of Europe’s most important bioenergy projects In this issue, we publish the Plant Report on one of Europe’s most ambitious projects, the Curtis-Teixeiro biomass plant. The plant represents one of the most significant renewable energy projects in Europe. Greenalia has invested EUR 135 million in the facility, which, once completed, will be the largest forest biomass plant in the Iberian Peninsula and southern Europe, and Europe’s leading facility in terms of technological innovation. The plant will use pruning waste and waste wood from eucalyptus trees to generate energy. This issue also includes another Plant Report, featuring a detailed description of the upgrading of the MSW plant in Elche, which has a shared line for the rest fraction and light packaging, a composting system with air treatment and a refinement plant with glass recovery. The fact that the waste treatment process was maintained throughout the entire upgrading process is particularly noteworthy.
