Therefore, a dedicated facility adapted exclusively to the needs of this material is required. To address this challenge, i2ma has the experience accumulated in the sector since 2001 and the company is capable of managing over 300 tonnes per month of toner, achieving the purest recycling and providing an outlet for each material recovered. The i2ma team has studied the market and estimates that the current volume of toner in Spain is around 3,000 tonnes. The company is fully convinced that the sector requires the united efforts and teamwork of all the cartridge recycling plants in the country, with the sole objective being ecological functionality. Supporting government measures that call for the effective management of this waste is the target and only in this way will it be possible to prevent the landfilling of materials from toner cartridges. The most eco-efficient solution is to set the objective of closing the recycling loop and returning the recovered materials to the production process. Our strength: Ongoing R&D Whereas other companies only began to treat toner when the legislation came into force in August 2018, i2ma has been devoting its efforts to this process for years. Based on the experience of the original family company and the intensification of R&D, we have achieved the target, which was to find the way to reuse materials from cartridges, with high recycling rates, whilst maintaining traceability. A few months ago, the company received the authorisation to act as a waste manager for cartridge shredding and the separation of the materials into fractions (operation R12). Since then, we offer producers and any integrated management system an outlet for a product that until now was difficult to treat. Interested companies can consult our services online.
