The municipal indoor pool of Puente Genil works with three boilers of biomass as a first source of energy

The installation includes three boilers of biomass, of bone of olive, KWB Multifire of 100 kW each one and that feed by means of a screw sinfín from a silo common. To end to obtain an optimum temperature of 28°C for the water of the swimming pool and 32°C of temperature acclimatise, is producing a consumption of a daily tonne of the fuel into use, what supposes some 60-70 euros, in front of the more than 350 euros that would represent the use of diesel. The enclosure includes thermal sensors solar installation on cover and oriented south, that works like second source of power, contributing almost 20% of the total of the power supplied. And it has of an exchanger of heat between both sources of power. A computer system implanted guarantees the operation automated and correct of the installation.
To date, the swimming pool has received a sinfín of visits, especially of local authorities of neighbouring municipalities. Likewise, it has organised visits for schools and institutes of the zone, with the aim to give to know and sensitise on the use of the renewable power to the youngest.
