Aqualia awarded by the financial closure of the sewage treatment plant, New Cairo, Egypt

The publication Global Water Intelligence (GWI'CHIN) has awarded Water Deal of the Year, the financial closure (financial equilibrium point) with the award of the sewage of New Cairo, during the annual meeting organized by the magazine, and in this edition has taken place in Paris. This category recognizes the greatest contribution to the development of collaborative projects public private sector at the international level.
In this sense, the prize values in addition to the fact that this facility is the first PPP project awarded in Egypt in any sector, the speed to reach financial closure in only seven months. Industries (OIC) have collected delivered award during the gala chaired by the Queen Noor's Jordan. Both companies make up the society Orasqualia, awarded the project for financing, design, construction and operation of this facility, which depurará the water of more than a million inhabitants, and provides a portfolio of more than 360 million euros. In the case of Aqualia, this already was recognized its work when it was awarded as 'Best company of management of water in the world', for three years.
The award of the sewage treatment plant New Cairo is the first contract that manages Aqualia in the North African country. This recognition confirms the international expansion of the company, in particular its strategy for growth in North Africa. Aqualia is already working in that region with the construction of two of the largest desalination of the continent, in the Algerian cities of Mostaganem and Cap Djinet. In this area, Aqualia already develops an intense commercial activity in countries such as Libya, Morocco or Tunisia, participating in different contests for the granting of new water infrastructure.
