More than 20,000 kilograms of packaging recycled during the Mutua Madrileña Masters Madrid

More than 20,000 kilos of light packaging (packaging of plastic, cans and briks), containers of paper and paperboard and containers of glass, generated during the Mutua Madrileña Masters Madrid, has been recycled through the introduction, for the fourth consecutive yeara system of selective collection in the Madrid Arena, home of the tournament. The recovery of these packaging also helps curb climate change.
For 10 days, the tennis fans who attended the Masters Madrid could collaborate with the recycling of waste from packaging due to the agreement reached between the Organization of the tournament, Ecoembesand Ecovidrio and the Ayuntamiento de Madrid. Under the agreement were located more than 45 yellow containers for the storage of light packaging (plastic containers, cans and briks) in places very frequented as bar bars or restaurants. Also, scattered throughout the site (shopping area, Crystal Palace, Madrid sand, areas of training, etc.) were placed over 80 compartimentadas paper. In addition, to be able to collect and recover all the cartons and the role that were generated during the tournament, were provided 19 containers and 30 Blue bins that were located, among other places, in the room of the press and at the disposal of the catering company. For the collection of glass container, settled four igloos and 30 bins with a capacity of 120 liters distributed between the sidewalk so that they could conveniently store consumed glass containers.
