The impact of the activity of technological centres in enterprises

Summary of the findings of the survey of impact
The sample was 2.357 companies that had been said collaborating with technology centres, universities or public research centres in the survey of innovation 2005.
The study analyzes the technical impacts (new products, processes, industrial property), economic (sales, exports, profits, productivity, employment, costs and number of clients), investment (human resources, internal and external r & d, innovation, software), intangible (effects on the management of human resources, strategic vision)(, information management and management of external relations), and other indicators (satisfaction of the company and value added which adds a Center in terms of speed, ambition, or effectiveness of projects).
Of the companies that work with technological centres on technical impact 57.6 per cent has developed new products or substantially improved than it did as a result of the work of the technology centre, and 38.4 per cent has developed new services or improved which already had as a result of the work of the technology centre. As regards economic impact: 56.6 percent of companies have improved their sales thanks to the technology centre and the 48.4 per cent has improved profits. The increase in sales as a result of the work of the technological centre is 4 percentage points per year (31.8 per cent of the total increase in sales) and the increase in profits as a result of the work of the technological centre is 3.2 percentage points per year (28.1 per cent of the total increase in earnings).
In relation to the impact on investments: 60.2 per cent has improved its internal investments in r & d by the technology centre and 36.8 per cent has improved its investment in equipment. In as far as impact on intangible: 71.6 per cent has improved the training of its personnel in other areas thanks to the technology centre and 64.3 per cent has improved the planning and definition of their innovation activities. 78.1 Per cent has improved the use of other external sources of information (universities, public research centres, consultants, etc.).
