Santiago El Pinar also has a treatment plant for waste water which will clean the water already used and allocated to productive uses.
Also poultry farms, greenhouses, a comprehensive coffee-processing complex, nurseries and a plant assembling of furniture, which will boost the region's economy.
One of the interesting facts about this city is that it was built by the dispersal of the population, as they were integrated in five communities by 115 families located in the municipal seat.
The project envisages 465 new housing construction and rehabilitation of 489, to benefit 10 locations.
Next to the houses is located the shopping area, a market of 10 premises where they 3,360,000 meat, fruits and vegetables, hardware, and there will be a cocina económica; micro-entrepreneurs to meet them will be trained by staff of the Ministry of the economy.
