New tube of pressure to reduce the cost of desalination of the water
on February 21, 2011
Bel Composite Iberian has developed a new tube of pressure posed by significant benefits and cost savings for water treatment plants. It's tubes of 16 inches in diameter that they cuadruplican the ability to allow significant benefits for the desalination plants, which may reduce certain costs up by a quarter and require far less space for installation.
In fact, each of the membranes of 16 inches used in these tubes of pressure has the same capacity to treat water to four membranes of 8 inches (previous standard). In this way a water treatment plant will need four times fewer membranes and pressure tubes.
This reduces the price in a very large percentage in the total cost of such facilities, as well as the surface needed to build a plant for water treatment, which is much smaller with the new model of pressure tubes. The pipes and fittings to connect the installation also are a quarter, so there will be a saving both in material and intensive in executing the installation and maintenance, because there will be four times less likely to be repaired items.
