Thanks to Acuamed as property and to the joint venture awarded of the installation, which is formed by Acciona water companies, Acciona Infraestructuras, Romymar, and by the subcontractors responsible as installers and systems integrated assemblies electrical León and ICR,respectively, this becomes the project's desalination plant of Europe that will equal to the largest in the world, located in Israel with a capacity of 240,000 cubic meters per day.

With the solution provided by Schneider Electric and from the standpoint of control and supervision of installation, the desalination plant incorporates technology that lets you continuity and reliability of service, the quality of the water requires the continuity of the process of treatment and the cost of the stops in the process requires installations reliable. This is possible thanks to Multiservice networks that allow monitoring, control, programming and maintenance of the connected elements, such as speed variators, elements of protection (Sepam), analyzers of network (PM710) and instrumentation for total management of the installation; and thanks to the general architecture of the plant, which is composed of a series of linked rings in fiber optics, redundantly and which ensure the desalination process.
Electrical power
The part of electric power low voltage and within the different control centers of engines of the infrastructure, have incorporated adjustable speed Altivar drives and starters of static Altistar, that allow reducing consumption of boot and vary the speed of different consumer enginesproviding energy savings of up to 20% in the installation.
The part of medium voltage provided by Schneider Electric electric power includes the primary distribution, through transformation of secondary distribution centres and systems of protection of the installation (Sepam) 20 kV, capacitor batteries and centres of 6 kV with static starters MotorPact motor control and isolation transformers with vegetable oil (biodegradable 99%), all this communicated on Modbus TCP on the multiservice network.
