Miebach Presents the results of the study on logistical tendencies in big consumption

The level of service still is one of the key appearances to improve, follows without subcontracting the management of requests and of stocks, there is a clear tendency to the automation of the processes of warehouse, the sustainability applied to the logistical is a notable question for more than half of the companies participants and remains a long way for visiting in terms of collaboration. Near of 200 companies of the sector of the Big Consumption (36% corresponding to the distribution and 64% to the manufacture) participated in the study, that showed that it exists a considerable difference between the costs of the logistical activity of both subsectores, standing out that it exists a greater weight of the cost of transport in the manufacturers that in the distributors (53% versus 37%), whereas the distributors have a greater weight in the cost of the personnel (32% versus 14%).
Going in in the subject of the levels of service, and estimating in 95% the minimum level demanded of fulfillment and reliability of the level of requests, 16,2% of the cases situates underneath of this index regarding the date of agreed delivery and 22,1% regarding the fulfillment of the contents of delivery. In any one of the cases, the percentage of answers underneath of 95% appreciates high, as in a lot of occasions the SLA begin from 98%.
With regard to the decision to subcontract the logistical services to external operators, for 24% of the participants of the study the key factor to opt by this externalización is the reduction of costs, gone on down the improvements in flexibility (18%), avoid own investments (17%) and improve in the quality of the service (16%). The levels of externalización in the next three years tend to the growth of moderate form, especially in the area of transport, so much troncal like capilar, whereas the management of requests and stocks goes to be followed being of internal field as near of 70% of the answers.
The results of the study also show that the majority of the companies enjoy of an intermediate level of automation in his logistical activities and that his wish is to automate his processes of important form in an immediate future.
On the other hand, 53% of the respondents considered that the subject of the sustainability applied to the logistical is a notable question for his company; 24% affirmed that it will be it in a term of 3 years and 23% remaining said to not to consider it notable. Like measures more effective to reduce the broadcasts of CO2, the interviewed coincided in affirming that they are the relative to the consolidation of loads (80% of the answers) or the sustainable warehouses (40%), whereas other proposals, like the increase of the terms of delivery, the reduction of the globalisation or the decentralisation of the distribution, situated underneath of 20% of the answers.
On planning of the demand, the study showed that the corporate systems (ERP) keep on being the most used (37%), while the skilled software in these tasks is present in more than 25% of the companies.
Finally, in terms of collaboration, 31% of the companies answered that usually it uses CRP in the relations with his customers-providers, in front of 32% that declared to do it sporadically and 37% that never uses it.
