The headquarters of Norbert Dentressangle in Valladolid duplicates his capacity

Norbert Dentressangle inaugurated the past month of February a new platform in Valladolid. Of this form, the delegation vallisoletana duplicates his surface of storage regarding his previous ship of the polygon of Saint Cristóbal, happening of 2.400 to 5.000 square metres. The delegation of Valladolid grew 20% in 2011, reaching the 23 million euros of turnover, thanks to the increase of the international traffics, motivated by the tendency to a greater export of the Spanish companies. Thus, the past February inaugurated a new installation, situated in Centrolid, that duplicates the capacity that up to now had the logistical operator in the Polygon of Saint Cristóbal. The new warehouse has a surface of 5.000 square metres built on a plot of 40.000 square metres. The docks of load and download happen of 26 to 45. Besides, it has 18 squares of parking for trucks and 900 m square metres of offices. The platform is endowed of the most modern technology, as well as of systems of videovigilancia and trazabilidad of expeditions to realise the follow-up of all the pallets that go in and go out of the platform, from the beginning of the route until his final delivery. The operator has of other 65 squares of parking and jet of diesel inside the enclosure of Centrolid.

The change of installations will allow to the operator keep growing in Castile and Leon during the planned rhythm for the next years. At present, the volume of transactions has multiplied until reaching an average of 550 tonnes in 200 operations of load and daily download, that suceden in time forks very narrow concentrated between the 17 and 20 hours and the 22 and 2 hours. This means that the new warehouse receives each day the pertinent commodity of any point of Spain and Portugal, and exchanges it to other trucks to attain that they reach his final destination in so only 24 hours. The new installation, with 45 docks, is specifically designed for ‘cross-docking'.

In this new stage have created 17 places of work. 15 of the new places are for conductive fixed collaborators —that happen of 160 to 175— and two more are for the area of offices, that also grows of 40 to 42 people.

The delegation of Valladolid is one of the 25 own delegations that conform the network of transport and distribution of Norbert Dentressangle in the Iberian Peninsula. By his privileged geographic position for the flow of commodities, this delegation is one of the four centres of coordination that has the logistical operator in Spain.
