Spain bets on a trans-European transport network to improve regional development

The Minister of public works, José Blanco, participated in the informal meeting of Ministers of transport of the European Union in the Hungarian town of Gödöllő on 8 February, which was the process of revision of the trans-European transport network (ten-T) undertaken by the European Commission as a single item on the agenda of the day.
At the meeting, which also was attended by the Vice-President of the Commission and transport Commissioner, Siim Kallas, together with the ministerial representatives of 27 States and of the Transport Commission of the European Parliament, was shown the interest of Spain to ensure that the new design of the core network infrastructure will serve to progress even in the process of EU integration.
During the meeting, white was pleased by the decision of Hungary continue, within the framework of the EU Presidency which exercises during this semester and which forms a trio with the Belgium and Spain, with the impetus for the design of a transport system modern and balanced response to the shortcomings that were special shows during the crisis of the volcanic ash that paralyzed much of the European air traffic.
