Rhenus Logistics, belonging to the international Spanish company Rhenus, is strengthening its presence and services in Andalusia as a key community in the development of the operations of transport and logistics not only national, but global and European.
Andalusia has become a region of the first order for the management of the transport of goods that have as output or input both the Iberian Peninsula as Europe. "Its position is ideal to have quick access to the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean from Algeciras," explains Francisco Fernández, Manager of the platform of Rhenus Logistics in Seville. Since these facilities are managed thousands of shipments of anuales de Las empresas bound for around the world and was last goods from European countries, Asia, America or Africa.
The importance of Andalusia as the import/export goods has led to Rhenus Logistics to inaugurate a platform in Martos (Jaén), where merchandise with origin and destination to third countries are managed. This management includes processing and storage of goods in customs warehouse, as well as tasks of counseling in foreign trade.
One of the most important developments made by Rhenus Logistics in Andalusia has been transport international road, with direct lines of groupage of goods to most of Europe. "Until now--indicates Fernández - any merchandise import and export in Andalusia the managed transport companies through the centers of consolidation in Madrid or Barcelona, mainly". This option translates to "obvious competitive disadvantages for the anuales de Las empresas".
For this reason, in recent years, freight service has developed from Seville Rhenus Logistics international road in a direct way. "We have established lines from Andalusia with several countries, says the Manager of the Seville square-, primarily with France, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Benelux, Nordic countries and those of the East".
These direct services report benefits to customers of Rhenus Logistics, whether exporters or importers: service door to door without intermediate transfers, reduction of risk of breakage, weekly frequency, transit times lower than the conventional groupage and "to being able to manage directly the transport we can offer more competitive rates", confirms Francisco Fernández. Add to this the support of the infrastructure and facilities of the Rhenus throughout Europe Group, which enables control of the traceability and information delivery online.
