Setram, operator specializing in the logistics of the car, provides for a 35% growth in the movement of vehicles at its terminal in the port of Barcelona to the year 2010. The director-general of the Group Setram, Manuel Hereza, explains the reasons for this increase: "the trend we have been in the last quarter of 2009 takes us to fix this growth forecast." "It has renewed the Government Plan (Plan 2000E) that stimulates the sale of vehicles in Spain and will have its positive translation throughout the chain of supply of the automotive sector".
Vehicles that run through the terminal of Setram in the port of Barcelona with maritime origin/destination in 2009 were: 102.343 units, 88.207 units of export and import 14.136 units. According to Hereza these data show the current situation: "European markets different launched its exit from the crisis and what we are feeling in the steady growth of the export of vehicles." "The importation of passenger cars to Spain is still far from the numbers recorded in previous periods".
