Abertis Purchases participations of Itínere in Societies of Spain and Chile by 605 M

Abertis has shut down the process of acquisition of the shares of Itínere several dealerships in Spain and Chile. The operation, which represents a payment of EUR 605 million, has materialized after Pear Acquisition Corporation, S.L., company controlled by the Fund of infrastructure Citi Infrastructure Partners, L.P., has carried out the liquidation of the public offer for shares of Itínere.
Concludes the process announced on December 1, 2008 and that has led to the Group abertis to acquire interests in Avasa, Spain, and Rutas del Pacífico, dealer of the Elqui, GESA and OPSA, in Chile.
After the closure of this operation, Abertis controls 100% of Autopista Vasco - Aragonesa (Avasa), in Spain; 100% of Concesionaria del Elqui (Los Vilos – La Serena motorway) and 100% of management of highways, S.A. (Gesa), in Chile. In addition you get, also in Chile, a majority stake and control of Rutas del Pacífico, II routes, and operator of the Pacific (Opsa), with a 78.9%.
