The Council Intertextil Spanish (CIE) has celebrated this morning in Madrid his General Assembly. To the same have assisted the representatives of the seven sectorial associations that engloban in Spain the textile of cabecera and the manufacturing.And in her his President, Alejandro Laquidain, has stood out that the asphyxia crediticia that is suffering the textile in the last year aggravates the situation of a sector that is struggling for keeping the employment and that, besides, has to confront to difficulties like the fall of the consumption, so much internal like European, and the protectionist measures in the markets of third. According to Laquidain “the difficulties of access to the credit suppose an important limitation to the business activity and, in some cases, a clear estrangulamiento of the same”.

Laquidain Has resaltado, however, that, in front of the difficult economic situation of Spain and Europe, the exports and the symptoms that they can recover to half term some industrial activities, act like factor amortiguador for the companies and do to trust a future recovery of the sector.

In this sense, the President of the CIE, has signalled that the exports have kept his dynamism the first quarter of 2012 with a growth of 9%. It has added that, to follow this rhythm, “in 2012 will achieve a new record of exports since they will surpass the 10.000 millions, figure that means to duplicate the register of the year 2000”. The textile sector/manufacturing explains at present with more than 3.000 companies that are usual exporters.

In addition to by the sales to the outside, the sector is seeing favoured by a true return to the supply of vicinity in front of the encarecimiento of the Asian products and the advantages of time and flexibility that characterise the near procurement. This reality does to foresee the recovery of some industrial activities in Spain.

Laquidain Has finalised his intervention doing a call to the administrations so that they engage with the industry and national manufacturing in the public shopping.

In this sense, has underlined that the textile sector/Spanish manufacturing comes realising efforts very remarkable in the field of the internationalisation and of the technological innovation, betting like this by the product of value added and for reinforcing the Mark Spain in the external markets.
