Safran Recognises to Souriau by his application of the control of quality of fast answer QRQC

Souriau was awarded with the prize to the best of the providers by his customer Safran the past 22 November. The ceremony had 450 providers of Safran, and the prize recognises the excellent results of the company in the application of the process of control of quality of fast answer QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control). The program QRQC began does a year and has reduced the returns of products of Souriau in 30% and divided by 2 the time average of answer. Souriau Was appointed previously provider of first level (Top Supplier) for 2012 by Labinal, the company of the group devoted to the electrical wiring of groups.

Souriau Supplies to Safran connectors of high provision. The past year Safran proposed to Souriau that piloted the application of the process QRQC to improve even more the quality of his deliveries. The QRQC has been a cultural change, with daily comments to end to increase the reactivity in the resolution of problems of the customer and anticipate to the detection in the workshops of the factory. During these daily reviews, each new problem detected has to characterise and analyse immediately, with the suitable alerts and additional controls to ensure the chain of supply to the customer inside the 24 hours. This very reactive process has established in waterfall by all the organisation of Souriau with participation of all the activities, included the units of businesses, the engineering of processes, I + D, and also the human resources, to ensure this transversal cultural change.

“Were very motivated to apply the process QRQC for our strategic partner Safran, with the one who have developed in the last years a narrow relation, with total transparency and big privacy, inside a spirit of continuous improvement. Thanks to this process QRQC also took into account the defects of lower importance that generate of 10 to 50 ppm (parts by million), that were not considered in our system of management of the classical quality. This approach also allows to resolve the problems of quality with rapidity and of a more practical way with the learning in the place of work (OJT) to analyse real elements with the learning in the place of real work, in real time. It has allowed us centre us in what it is important and urgent to ensure us the customers ”, explained Thierry Quillet, general director of Souriau in 3 plants situated in France and in Morocco.
