The Spanish Association of manufacturers of packaging cardboard Ondulado (Afco) has carried out the first tutorial session for workers in the special employment centre of Apai Foundation, with a view to the specialization of this group in the Assembly of furniture made of corrugated cardboard. The furniture is designed exclusively by Creatius designStudio, with the collaboration of exposure Pack Center, paper and corrugated cardboard packaging solutions company.

Apai-Afco collaborative project pursues a double objective. On the one hand, promote environmental values at work - 100% natural, renewable and recyclable corrugated cardboard-. On the other hand, promote the occupational integration of persons with different capacities to participate in these workshops. Apai workers will produce pieces of corrugated cardboard that will become part of an exhibition of designs that promote social and environmental awareness highlighting the quality of the work carried out in special centres for employment of Apai and offering an alternative to the current supply of Habitat.

In this sense, design Creatius has designed a range of products and furniture entirely developed in 100% recycled corrugated cardboard. This project has been developed through the collaboration of exposure Pack Center, company which has commissioned the production of corrugated cardboard with the furniture will be working, both the definition of the perfect finishes.
