Ecolec managed more than 59,000 tons of waste electrical and electronic equipment in 2010

Waste of large domestic appliances - more than 53,000 tons - top the list of amounts collected by the Ecolec Foundation during 2010 as integrated system (GIS). Followed by the small electrical appliances and computers and telecommunications equipment.
Despite the crisis, the ability of management of waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) for domestic use made by Ecolec last year grew by 3.78% compared to the previous one. As GIS, Ecolec is about 54% of share of responsibility for all electrical and electronic equipment put on the market in Spain. Its affiliated companies have the obligation to finance more than 70% of large and small appliances.
