Geesinknorba Spain supplies several vehicles GPM III in the Costa del Sol (Málaga)
The first delivery to the UTE formed by FCC and Urbaser comprised two vehicles Geesinknorba GPM III KT2 23L25, of 23 cubic metres of capacity. They have been the first units sold in Spain instrumented with the crane C70G Epsilon of Palfinger.
These vehicles go to be employed to collect paper, cardboard and recyclable plastics in the municipalities of Benalmádena, Mijas, Fuengirola, Torremolinos, Marbella and Estepona.
The body of these vehicles is perfect to realizar the collected of all these materials, and has attained increase the capacity employing cranes mounted on the ceiling of the truck, which do not need space of setting behind the cabin.
Using this type of cranes, has attained 6 m3 of capacity of additional load. To attain the maximum stability when it collects the recyclable material, the cranes have conventional stabilisers, what avoids vuelcos when load the containers or igloos. Another advantage to use this type of cranes is that the body of the GTM III KT2 can be mounted much more near of the cabin of the chassis, which improves the loads by axis.
The two new vehicles GTM III KT2 operated by the UTE of FCC and Urbaser vacían the containers of paper and cardboard, as well as the igloos for plastic materials like PET, HDPE and Tetrapack so much of domestic use like commercial, that have been used previously to conserve foods and drunk. This customer decided that it was more efficient to collect these materials with these vehicles because of his high ratio of compactación 6:1 and by the advantages that offer to operate with big volumes of recyclable waste when these are generated in the season estival, with greater number of tourists.
The containers of paper and cardboard and the igloos for the plastic material are castings with these vehicles in the points of collected community enabled for this work in the streets of the different municipalities of the Costa del Sol.
One of the vehicles GPM III KT2 is assigned for vaciar the containers of paper and cardboard, and the another for the igloos of plastic materials. Like this it guarantees that there is not pollution crossed between these materials and keeps his quality before being sent to the reprocesado.
The collected of paper, cardboard and plastics takes place by the mornings, of 6 am to 1-2 pm. The vehicles are handled by an alone person for the collected of paper and cardboard, and by two for vaciar the igloos of plastic material.
The units GPM III KT2 are also instrumented with an elevator of containers GCB 1000 in the rear part of the vehicle, being able to work with containers of 80 to 1.100 litres of capacity.
The equipment GPM III KT2 have been mounted in chassis Renault Premium 340 DXI 6x2 of 26 tonnes of maximum weight authorised. The chassis incorporates a cabin of day for a driver and his companion. It has incorporated a monitor in colour for rear vision to be able to realizar with hygiene the manoeuvres of course backwards. Also it has mounted a tube of vertical leakage and, to avoid the fatigue of the driver, the chassis has an automatic transmission Allison 3200R with retardador.
Each vehicle realizar a load of material to the day and transports it to the plant of transfer of Marbella. The recyclable materials are compressesed in containers sealed herméticamente for his back processing.
Supply of other four vehicles
The second delivery of Geesinknorba Spain also has taken place in the province of Málaga, and to the same UTE formed by FCC and Urbaser. In this case it consists in four GPM III in two different specifications. These vehicles go to employ to collect paper, cardboard and recyclable plastics of containers and igloos, as well as containers of 1.100 litres in community points of the province.
Two of these units are GPM III 21L25 of 21 m3 of capacity and instrumented also with cranes on ceiling Palfinger C70G Epsilon. Thanks to these cranes can mount in these chasses equipment of 21 m3 of capacity in place of 18 m3, what allows to work with a greater volume of material. These two vehicles also have the system of elevation of containers GCB 1000 in the rear part, with the same specifications that the reviewed previously.
The others two vehicles supplied are GPM III 22H25 and go to employ for the collected of recyclable plastics in Málaga. Also they are instrumented with the elevator of containers GCB 1000 for containers of 80 to 1.100 litres of capacity.
These vehicles are handled by a driver and two loaders, which position the containers in the rear part of the truck to be castings. These containers are situated in community points where the igloos can not be employed for the collected of plastic waste.
The four vehicles will realizar a daily load of recyclable dry materials and will transport them to the installations of recycling that has Urbaser in Antequera (Málaga), before being sent to other places of Spain for his processing.
All the vehicles GPM III supplied in Málaga incorporate the system of saving of fuel ‘Smartpack', that allows to reduce the consumption of diesel until in 20%. Also they go mounted in chassis Renault Premium 340 DXI 6x2 of 26 tonnes of maximum weight authorised.
The new vehicles have been presented by Fabio Méndez, delegated of Geesinknorba in Andalucia, and go to be backed by the network of service and spare parts of Geesinknorba in Madrid and Seville.
