Heinz may use the technology of green bottles of Coca Cola to their packaging

the Coca-Cola company and HJ. Heinz have signed an agreement whereby latter may produce their containers of ketchup using Coca-Cola PlantBottle technology. This technology allows to obtain in PET bottles partially made from plants and have reduced dependence on non-renewable resources, as compared to conventional PET bottles.
PlantBottle packaging have the same appearance as the PET plastic and are fully recyclable. The only difference is that up to 30% of the material comes from plants. Vegetable matter is produced from an innovative process that transforms the natural sugars found in the plants on a key component of the PET plastic. Normally, PlantBottle uses the Brazil sugar cane ethanol.
