In response to the growing need in the market for a reliable supply of degrees of high performance that can comply with demanding regulations of the UN, Sabic has developed two new grades of polyethylene of high density (HDPE) for application in industrial containers: it's Sabic HDPE ICP4907S and Sabic HDPE ICP5602, and are now available for sale. These two grades meet the latest requirements of the market to offer an optimal balance of properties, improvement of behavior during the process of material and a great potential in cost reduction. The structure of two degrees of Sabic gives new opportunities to obtain significant savings in energy and material; as well as reduce cycle time, which allows processors to improve its profitability and as well as its performance when it comes to sustainability.
The new grades belong to Sabic HDPE line for molding applications blow for industrial contendedores: the range of products Sabic HDPE Industrial Container Product (ICP). SABIC HDPE ICP4907S is designed to comply with the requirements of the IBC (Intermediate Bulk Containers) containers and tanks, up to 1,000 litres or greater capacity. In addition, this degree IBC presents stabilization ultraviolet (UV). SABIC HDPE ICP5602 has been developed for applications with tight head drum ranging from 25 to 220 litres and even higher capacity. Both degrees are an extraordinary balance between stiffness and resistance to impacts, environmental stress cracking resistance and excellent chemical resistance, which provide good protection for the storage of hazardous substances and liquids of high value. In addition, both degrees meet the demanding requirements for food packaging. All products of the Sabic HDPE ICP line, which include Sabic HDPE ICP4907S and Sabic HDPE ICP5602, met the demanding recommendations of the United Nations (UN) and, therefore, subject to approvals and regular government recordsthey can be used in the manufacture of containers approved by the UN.
Both degrees allow manufacturers to obtain greater profitability. How granular, is exceptional for the index of fluidity within this segment, improves the handling and offers important advantages to reduce production costs. The use of granules prevents the waste of material, improves the efficiency of the machinery and favors a more secure product handling.
