Next on 18, 19 and 20 February the V Congress International of engineering of fire safety to be held in the Auditorium of the Centre of Mapfre conventions will be held in Madrid. The meeting provides professionals in the sector of the protection against fires (PCI), the ability to share and exchange experiences and knowledge on various aspects of their work. In this Edition, important professionals from Europe, Latin America, Australia and United States, will meet to share experiences on the global situation of the various areas of the process of design based on benefits (PBD), from the definition of the problem, until the development of possible solutions, with application case to three areas of study: building, industry and transport. The Conference is intended both to practitioners of the PCI as workers whose work is based on the fire protection in housing, in the sector of industry, transport, national heritage, etc.
The Conference will deal with issues as the extent of the problem (illustrated with examples of large fires); the regulatory, legal and technical framework nationally and internationally; the study of the design process based on step by step benefits, with the definition of goals, objectives and criteria for acceptance, identification of scenarios of fire development and evaluation of the design of systems of protection.
