Andaltec Will set up 35 new projects of R&D along the year 2013

The Technological Centre of the plastic of Andalucia (Andaltec) has foreseen to set up 35 new projects of R&D along the year 2013, as it has put of relief in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation Andaltec, celebrated today in Martos. The meeting has had the participation of the president of the Foundation Andaltec, Francisco Buenaño, and of the councillor of Human Resources and Development of the City council of Martos, Manuel Consuegra. Between the strategies planted of face to the next year, stands out the opening of the activity to sectors related with the plastic, like the feeding, and the orientation of the efforts to increase the internationalisation of Andaltec and his participation in European projects.

In this meeting has realised a positive balance of the activity of the centre along the year 2012, when it has reached a staff of 75 professionals, and has stood out the ending of the construction of the building 2 of the new headquarters, by what only is missing the scientific and technological equipment so that it can go in in operation. Buenaño Has signalled that Andaltec looks forward to licitar this scientific equipment in a pair of months, by what the centre could be already totally finished to finals of 2013. “Once that the two buildings are fully instrumented and operative, Andaltec will be one of the technology centres bigger and better instrumented south of Spain, a reference in the sector of the plastic”, has signalled.

Besides, in 2012 they have purchased numerous equipment of laboratory to realise essays of Compostabilidad, Biodegradabilidad, Disintegration and Quality of the Compost and has achieved for miscellaneous of them the certification of ENAC, something that possess few entities of the sector of the plastic in Spain.

The president of the Foundation Andaltec also has stood out the important increase of the number of queries and of services of R&D loaned to companies of the plastic and of other sectors of Spain and of other countries. “Also I want to resaltar that, regarding projects of R&D, 75% of the budget, has come of the private financials, with a total of 43 projects in execution or closed during the year 2012”, has indicated Buenaño.

Another very significant fact has been the big advance of the process of internationalisation of Andaltec, as in 2012 has begun the execution of the European project of R&D (Susfoflex) for the development of containers of bioplástico intelligent for foods, and the next year will set up new international projects. Another of the big successes of 2012 for Andaltec has been the set up of the Department of Learning, that has organised ten formative activities own, in addition to other specific courses for companies of the sector of the plastic.

By his part, Manuel Consuegra has indicated that the City council of Martos is very satisfied with the work that develops from Andaltec and has put of relief the important work to the hour to create places of work of direct and indirect form. “The Technological Centre of the plastic helps to a lot of companies of Martos to develop new products and to improve the already existent, what involves the creation and the maintenance of a lot of employments”, has argued.
