Navarre industry association (AIN) participates, along with technological centres Aido, Aimen and Tekniker, the national r & d Surfer project, developed by laser surface modification processes. The principal applicants of these improvements in materials come from the sector of transport, the industry of the mould and machinery, very exposed to the superficie-medio interaction activities.

Project centres technology Consorciados Surfer, involving four different autonomous communities, including Navarre through AIN, Technology Center stems from the need to overcome the limitations of the materials and surface treatments today.

This research aims to how to get a drastic reduction in losses of efficiency effects of friction, wear, heat transfer, and so on, and it does so through the development of laser surface modification processes.
