AMB 2010: the German fair machining, with firm step
July 23, 2010
Silvia Stoll, spokesman of the press of the Messe Stuttgart AMB, Sengül Altuntas, Director of projects for the WBA and Wilfried Schäfer, managing director of the VDM machines were responsible for submitting to the press both the figures of the sector and the provisions of the fair.
It should be recalled that this event is the German showcase for the international market for machine tool and was ranked second in the classification of specialized fairs of Germany, behind the EMO. With more than 20 years of history behind them, still losing bellows and "increasingly has more acceptance by the exhibitors and visitors".
In fact, since the organization remember that for years the pavilions of the AMB are complete, something to expect to be repeated this year: "in March 2010 already had registered strongly over 900 exhibitors and 90% of the surface of the pavilions is already busy". And, according to forecasts, "in September they will participate in the 2010 AMB around 1,200 exhibitors, with 70 businesses represented." "One in five will come from abroad and in total more than 25 countries will be represented." In this sense, Silvia Stoll pointed out that participating companies, "85% will be manufacturers and 20% foreigners".
A fair product of cooperation
AMB is a fair result of the joint work of different entities collaborating and professional such as the German Association of manufacturers of machine tools (VDW), as well as the associations specialized in precision and software tools within the German Association for the construction of machinery and installations (VDMA).
Regarding exhibitors groups, the range of the AMB exhibition focuses mainly on machine tools with start of swarf, lathes, milling machines, etc. A range of is divided into three sectors with boot and detachment of chips, as well as precision tools. In this sector, the exhibitors present innovations and new developments of the technique of measurement and the assurance of quality, robotics, the technique of manipulation of parts and tools, the sector of software and engineering, as well as components, accessories and construction groups.
As for exhibitors, highlight, once again, they will be present representatives from Europe, Asia and overseas markets.
A rationally distributed space
A point in favor of this fair is the thematic distribution, which provides guidance to visitors. In fact, from the 2008 Edition the new fair exhibition centre allows dividing the halls by sectors: drives, tools, cutting, boot, which facilitates the orientation of the visitors and allows you to go more easily to the flags of their interest.
Thus, halls 1 and 2 are reserved for precision tools; the Pavilion 4 contains software and engineering, devices command and additional equipment or accessories; in the Pavilion 6 are located the saws, drilling and cutting gear machines; the Pavilion 8 belongs to the grinders and desbarbadoras and 9, 7, 5 and 3 flags are reserved for lathes and milling machines and machining (distribution of the pavilions clockwise) centres.
Designed to...
The AMB is directed to all posts technical in the decision-making process and responsible for production of the sectors target of machine tools and precision, from managerial tools (owner, CEO, members of the Board of Directors, attorneys) to members of the workshop (heads of Department and group)(, employees, teachers, specialized technicians). ADE-más, must be added the construction of vehicles, automotive and supply industry, machine building, industry HCM (iron, sheet metal and metal), the electroindustria, the construction of tools and moulds, the industry, Aeronautics and Astronautics and other classic branches of these various machines of high-tech sector.
Trends in manufacturing in the future within the program framework
In addition to technical innovations and new developments in the part of exhibition, the AMB also offers a programme framework geared to the needs of users in collaboration with associations, research centres and renowned universities. "For the visitors, the programme framework provides wealth of new knowledge to their daily routine of manufacturing." Show multiple possibilities for even more efficient production and, therefore, cheaper. "Anyone who is looking for a partner of production or distribution you will find, as well as novice practitioners who want to learn about the possibilities have more future within his profession", explained Sengül Altuntas.
The new possibilities offered by the manufacture can be seen in the ' innovative visit for machining of metals: trends of the future ' at the common stand of PTW. For the future sustainable processes and technologies are the focus of the 'Colloquium on manufacturing (FtK) technologies' of the society for the technique of manufacture of Stuttgart. 'Think-Ing.', the initiative of training offered by the VDMA in Baden-Württemberg has his eye on the pool of engineers. The contest 'Turner of the year', under the direction of the magazine 'fertigung' and with the support of the manufacturer of machine tools in the town of Salach Emag, is intended that the public more directed his attention to the profession of Turner. The contest of professions 'skills germany' and the special exhibition for youth 'sonderschau jugend', organized by the VDW in collaboration with renowned companies, show interesting and varied the different professional profiles of the sector of machine-tool can be. On the occasion of the special exhibition 'Medical technology, a market in growth for Metalworkers' of Sellers Media Services of Wiesbaden, is a growing market that offers great potential for many manufacturers of machines and tools. Also the network of partners 'b2fair-Business to fairs', under the leadership of the Chamber of crafts in Stuttgart, particularly supports to small and medium-sized enterprises in their mission of finding a partner of production or distribution abroad.
The "b2fair' initiative was created by the European Commission and currently there are many international organizations that foster. Dry machining and job security are other items on the agenda framework.
The fair in the right place
Beyond all the points in favour that may have a fair as AMB, its organizers are aware that part of the success of the fair is due to its excellent location: in the Centre of the market and in the heart of Europe. "This is the best description of Stuttgart, the capital of Baden-Württemberg, where the capital goods industry concerned", clarify. This federal State, the third largest in Germany, is the location of the high-tech and of many sectors of the future. Around 10.7 million people live in him but also in the Stuttgart region have main or productive based many of the bidders more pointers of machine tools and precision, as well as important users, tools for example, the construction of machines, of the industry for the production and processing of metals, the construction of tools and moulds, the construction of vehicles and their suppliers: ABB, Audi, Bosch, Daimler, Freudenberg, Hewlett Packard, IBM, SAP, Trumpf, Porsche, Carl ZeissZF Friedrichshafen and many more. According to a study by the research economic Prognos Institute in 2006, these sectors are among the leading sectors and growth of Germany. Precisely in Baden-Württemberg there is a performance well above the average of these sectors of the future compared to the rest of Germany. "This is an ideal environment for a specialist trade fair focused on the future as the WBA and a platform with many opportunities for exhibitors and visitors of Spain".
