Spain and France, closer after the B2B workshop on maintenance
Emanuel relations in the railway sector are every day stronger thanks to the forthcoming opening of the axes of high speed between the two countries. In this context of growing and mutual cooperation, the mission economic Ubifrance (French counterpart of the ICEX), in collaboration with the foundation of the Spanish railways, and with the support of Mafex, recently organized the 'French day of the railway maintenance'.
This eventom held on July 1, 2010 in Madrid, brought together 19 French companies and more than 30 Spanish companies, and had, at its opening, with the presence of the Ambassador of France in Spain, Bruno Delaye, and the managing director of the foundation of Ferrocarriles EspañolesJaime Barreiro Gil.
By national rail operators, was attended by high-level delegations headed by the director of the SNCF, Alain Bullot, rolling and responsible for planning and coordination in the direction of manufacture and maintenance of Renfe, Berta Barrero Vázquez. Also involved entities as the Manager of the rail infrastructure Adif, designers and manufacturers of CAF, Talgo and Alstom trains, as well as maintenance companies and Madrid makers of urban transport: light West subway and streetcar of Parla.
Designed to encourage direct contact between the rail maintenance professionals and leading operators and managers of infrastructures of both countries (Renfe, SNCF and some operators of light urban transport, on one side and on the other the ADif), the day also allowed the holding of more than 200 interviews cross between Emanuel companies who shared common interests.
The meetings were held at the Madrid headquarters of the Spanish railways Foundation and were intended for manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and services of railway maintenance, both infrastructure and rolling stock. The next day, the French delegation visited the workshops of maintenance that Renfe has in Villaverde.
