Wire & Tube: a case of continued success

On this occasion, sgún organization, the euphoria was the dominant trend among the more than 2,400 exhibitors that participated in the five days that the fair lasted. It congregated in addition about 69.200 visitors from 100 countries, who did not want to miss the latest in machinery, equipment and products for the processing of wire and tube industry. It also highlighted the professionalization of these visitors, higher than in previous editions according to own exhibitors. Thus, meetings, interest in buying and good expectations of business made you breathe a positive atmosphere in this latest edition.
In the words of the managing director of the fair in 2010, Joaquim Schäfer, "for years Düsseldorf has been the international platform for two key sectors in the industry." "Be here forge international contacts and orders for the coming years." And he added: "therefore, trade fairs should be carried out at the right time." "Companies are now investing again to face the future with competitiveness or reconsider its activity."
On the other hand, the 2,400 exhibitors (figure to be compare with the 2,200 in the edition of 2008), were satisfied by the results of the fair. Companies participating in two - Wire on the one hand, - and Tube on the other rooms occupied a total of 100,000 square metres of net exhibition area.
Wire 2010, good results
The hall dedicated to the cable, the results are overwhelmingly positive. "It went really well." "We had already a massive number of visitors the first day", explained Egon Reich, the Department of sales of Wafios AG Reutlingen, after five days of fair.
In particular, this room participated in 1219 companies from 52 countries, occupying about 52,000 square meters of exhibition total, and that showed everything about the world of the cable: machinery and equipment, tools, auxiliary process engineering as well as material elements and special executions. Also present were the latest developments in the various segments: measurement, control and regulating technology as well as demonstrations of engineering. With special attention to special areas such as logistics, transport and packaging, which completed the sample.
Tube 2010: the best scenario for a presentation
Company Bergrohr, the German town of Siegen, took advantage of their participation in this Hall to present Berg-LAY, a tube of 2.540 mm specially developed for corrosive environments and very resistant to pressure. In the words of Rogr d. Evers, CEO of the company's sales, "there is much interest in our product", and explained its expectations of growth "because of the gas and oil industry".
The world of the tube was able to visit in the halls of 1 to 7 and 7a, where 1,181 exhibitors - from 52 countries - showed its latest in a total of 45,000 square meters of exhibition. This sample had a complete portfolio of products, from raw materials to Accessories, machinery for manufacturing, tools, process engineering, auxiliary equipment, not to mention control, measurement and regulation technology. Visitors could also see everything related to special segments like the automation of a store of pipes, among others.
It should be noted that the commercial segment of the pipe also occupied an important part of the fair. After his first successful presentation in 2008, everything related to the pipes and OCTG technology could be seen again.
And, for the first time the sample was extended to incorporate the areas of sections/profiles and technology sections/profiles. In both, visitors could see both the machinery and equipment for the conduct of sections and finished products in different materials and forms.
Good reception of the public
For its part, also the visitors passed with note sample. During the five day Wire & Tube, a total of 69.200 people walked through the corridors of fair of Düsseldorf. More specifically in Wire, 63% of visitors came from outside of Germany. By countries, the majority came from the United Kingdom, France, USA, Italy, India, Netherlands, Spain, Brazil, Turkey, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Poland. By sector, represented for the most part the world of industry (81%), followed by trade (8%) and experts (3%), who again showed their confidence in the fair and confirmed its hegemony in the sector.
In the hall dedicated to the pipe, the presence of international visitors was 55 per cent of the total; 35,000 from 70 countries, especially the Netherlands, Italy, India, Spain, USA, Belgium, Switzerland, France and United Kingdom. 63% Of them came from the industry, while a 22 of the commercial world and 4% were experts.
