RAM High Torque, gearbox to drive shaft with added value

A new design produced in collaboration with leading manufacturers of the market which significantly improves the performance and reliability of gearbox for axis. This new range of two-speed gearboxes include five sizes. The pair broadcast on low speed setting is almost double the pair obtained by the previous generation, which already generally provided the maximum performance available on the market. The range consists of the following models: 190 (800 Nm), 220 (1,000 Nm), 250 (1,500 Nm), 280 (2,500 Nm) and 350 (7000 Nm).
The transmitted torque keeps a clear influence on the performance of machine tools in the most demanding tasks. The improvement in the pair is the result of a completely new in the core of gearbox design, as it is the case of the train of gears. The distribution of the capacity of pair on each component of the new system of transmission is optimized. This innovative design allows the transmission of a significantly higher torque.
Very high rotational speeds with minimal vibration and noise
The High Torque Ram does not contain electronic internal, thus improving the reliability and simplifying maintenance. External housings have been designed to offset the placement of all electronic sensors used for applications of axis. This means that the replacement of the detector no longer needed several hours to disassemble it. The drive of the change in velocity is hydraulic, pressure circuits generally available in all types of machine tool can be used.
Two-speed gear boxes are inside the piston, in line between the engine water cooled and the axis of the tool drive. This means that the Ram High Torque can easily use the same engine cooling and lubrication circuit already installed for the axis. The design is characterized by a main shaft hole of big diameter (28 to 54 mm) capable of an hydraulic hitch bar as well as a slow flow of lubricant in cutting of high pressure to remove the metal shavings directly in the tool.
The built-in engine, the design of the new Ram High Torque also avoids any redundancy in the line of the axle bearings, removing all alignment and/or overheating problems and increasing the reliability of the solution as a whole.
The Mount of the Torque High Ram configuration facilitates the integration and maximizes efficiency while minimizing the vibration and noise. Despite the very high speeds, vibration and noise are reduced to a minimum through a precise dynamic balance of the rotating components. The low angle game of 15' for a relationship 1: 1 and a reduction of 20' guarantees control of position during the change of tool.
In addition, these boxes of quality ISO 5 have a full treatment and are connected to Earth, further improving in this way the noise and vibration levels and providing extremely high efficiency levels.
These features allow the Ram High Torque to achieve very high rotation speeds, up to 12,000 rpm for small sizes) fundamental for States of the surface of high-quality finishing tasks. Even larger sizes can reach speeds up to 8,000 revolutions per minute.
